Bubble Cafes

Bubble Enterprises Community Interest Company was founded to create opportunities for individuals who have had ‘mental health’ issues and to  use enterprise as a means of recovery and achieving social inclusion.

A particular ‘outworking’ of this has been the creation of employment and volunteering opportunities within ‘cafe’ settings. This provides an environment that offers significant social interaction, stimulation and an opportunity for many to have a focus and purpose to their daily routines.

This has led Bubble Enterprises to be engaged in multiple cafe operations building up a ‘bank’ of design, planning and operational procedures that translate into ‘real’ trading companies.

Bubble have been involved in setting up multiple cafe’s in partnership with various institutions and still operate several today.

Most notably the ‘Oasis’ Cafe in conjunction with Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and Pennine Mental Health Trust, and Cafe 144 in Stockport.

Bubble Cafe at Oasis – Stepping Hill Hospital

The cafe is complemented by a delightful garden and gift shop making it a haven from the hustle and bustle of hospital life. It’s a popular stop off for staff, patients and visitors to enjoy a drink, or light bite to eat. The gift shop stocks a range of unique gifts and cards produced by the mental health community.

Bubble Cafe One Four Four – 144 Buxton Road, Stockport, SK2 6NZ

Our friendly cafe on the A6 offers a take away service and is also the hub of our catering operation. Our breakfast sandwiches are the perfect way to start the day or for a little afternoon pick me we have a range of freshly made cakes. And for lunch the choice is yours – relax in our cafe, host a lunch in our meeting room upstairs or if time is of the essence we also offer a takeaway service. Our meeting room comes complete with wi-fi, printing facilities and overhead projector making it an ideal space for training sessions and business lunches.
