Bubble have had an extensive association with the academic world, after all, our business started when Dr Leigh Wharton and Dr Louise Pinfold were undertaking their MBA courses at what is now called the Alliance Manchester Business School.
Below we have some of those that have given us ‘insights’ as Bubble have built their ‘iPlaybooks’ and networks that have assited our Social Entrepeneurs.
Professor Oswaldo Lorenzo
Professor Oswaldo Lorenzo is Professor of Management at Deusto Business School. He is also Visiting Professor at Alliance Manchester Business School. He was previously Professor at IE Business School. He received his PhD from Warwick Business School.
His articles have been published in California Management Review, Information and Management and Journal of Business Ethics.

Professor Peter Kawalek
Professor Peter Kawalek is Professor at the School of Business and Economics, Loughborough University, United Kingdom. He has visiting positions at Alliance Manchester Business School, UK, at Deusto Business School, Spain, and Letterkenny Institute of Technology in Ireland.
He is widely published, including in California Management Review and the Journal of Strategic Information Systems.

Dr Louise Pinfold
Dr Louise Pinfold was one of the founding Directors of Bubble Partnership and Bubble Enterprises CIC.
She delivered many projects and considerable experience to the organisation and still occassionaly becomes involved when we get enquiries in the southern hemisphere.
She now has moved back ‘home’ to New Zealand.
Dr Erinma Bell
Dr Erinma Bell is a celebrated and widely recognised peace activist and champion for social justice based in Manchester. She co-founded the charity CARISMA in 2003 to give young people positive alternatives to street and gun crime. Her work had such an impact that she was praised by Prime Minister Gordon Brown and made an MBE in 2010 in the Queen’s Birthday list.
She is part of the inspirational network of community leaders and volunteers active across Moss Side, Longsight and Hulme who continue to work towards a socially inclusive community. Dr Bell was made Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester in 2011 and is also a magistrate.
Dr Leigh Wharton
Dr Leigh Wharton is a founding Director of both Bubble Partnership Ltd and Bubble Enterprises CIC. He specialises in providing consultancy services for high-growth clients, as well as supporting individuals and organisations starting or developing new business ventures.
Areas of expertise range from preparing companies for market entry and assisting with initial sales to helping businesses maximise investment and growth.
Leigh is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), Manufacture and Commerce and a former member of the North West Development Agency Business Angels Network advisory team, which provided guidance and support services for entrepreneurs seeking informal investment.

Dr Nick Clifford PhD, MBA, FRSA, MCMI
Nick trained as a business manager at Oxford Brookes and subsequently worked in Harrods. After studying Planning at Westminster University, he worked as a policy analyst in London. In Manchester he worked on organisational change and development around the emerging sustainability agenda.
He later studied for an MBA at Cambridge Judge Business School and then concentrated on corporate change in local government management. Recognising the need for more executive education for business leaders and managers he began an academic career at Alliance Manchester Business School. As a programme director and business development manager he directed, designed and delivered programmes to executives and managers in businesses of different size and scale. His PhD research was in the challenges of achieving successful organisational change.
Dr Emma Langman
Dr Emma Langman is a Fellow of the RSA and was, until moving countries from the UK, a visiting fellow at the University of Bristol in both the Faculty of Engineering and the Graduate School of Education, as well as the Change Magician at her own company, Progression Partnership.
Emma began her career as a Civil Engineer. Since gaining her PhD in Systems Approaches to Asset Management in 2003, Emma has specialised in business improvement, culture change and change management.
Her experience covers the private and public sectors. Emma is an established trainer and facilitator who has given keynotes for the IIBA in London, the SoftEd conference in Sydney, as well as a number of workshops and other training at numerous high-profile events. She is known for high-paced, challenging and interesting talks and creating great learning opportunities in workshops.
