Richard owns and runs his own consulting consulting company providing e-learning and employee engagement services centred around
innovation involved in a variety of projects including:
- Marketed Novel Covid-19 innovation Medic-Safe innovation (www.medic-safe.co.uk) on behalf of clients resulting in early sales, testing due to commence in June 2020 at NIHR Birmingham for NHS market entry
- Delivered services on behalf of Business Growth Hub (Manchester) to assist SME companies to embrace digital innovation.
His skills have been developed through being involved in Technology transfer in the universities across greater manachester.
Rick developed the stage gate process for new idea development
He built the business cases for many ventures, and ran competions to stimulate innovation.
Rick developed the ‘Social Enterprise Brief Case’ a workbook and workshop product which assisted University members of staff and students with social enterprise formation from idea generation to road testing – delivered at the University of Manchester on six occasions and helped win an award from UnLtd – the social entrepreneurs foundation.
He has helped Greater Manchester companies to develop and grow by collaborating with all Greater Manchester Universities
Rick worked to deliver ERDF funded innovation projects across the UK, including ‘Centre for Global Eco-Innovation’ – a project funded by ERDF supporting eco-innovations in SMEs across the north west of England.
